Abraham S.T. Weekes is a registered pharmacist and presently the Senior Technical Specialist at Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Pharmaceutical Pooled Procurement System (OECS/PPS)-Quality Assurance Program. In this role he is responsible for the quality assurance of medicines procured on behalf of nine OECS/PPS Member states (Saint Lucia, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, and Monserat) and the systems which govern the rational use of the medicines in the Pharmaceutical Sector within Member States. This includes prequalification of suppliers, Pharmacovigilance of medicines- including investigation of medicines complaints and reporting of medicine adverse reactions, Medicines Utilization reviews, and management of the OECS Regional formulary and medicines list.
Mr. Weekes has participated in numerous forums on medicines and has delivered presentations on a myriad of topics including procurement and supply chain management of medicines, vaccine hesitancy to name a few. He is also a member of international, regional, and local pharmacy organizations. At present he is part of the Executive of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacist and serves as the chair of the student affairs committee and has been responsible for developing the organizations Strategic plan and launching the organization’s first Pharmacy Mentorship Program.

Pharmacy from the (University of Technology-Jamaica), BSc. Public Health Administration (Magna Cum Laude) (Monroe College), Certificate. Intro. Quality Management Systems (QMS) (Uuniversity of the West Indies), Certificate Introduction to Procurement and Supply Chain Management of Pharmaceutical Products (PSCM).
