Dr. Senessie is a medical doctor and Assoc. Professor with MSc in Dermatology, PhD in Health Sciences focusing on International Health Research and Education and concluding a second PhD Public Health majoring in Epidemiology.
He working in has worked Switzerland in private practice as well as a physician for the Swiss Federal Government Agency (Swissmedic) in the regulation of clinical trials locally and internationally. He has lectured Dermatology (Postgraduate), Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, University of South Wales, UK, Dermatology, Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, University of Sierra Leone has worked as WHO Consultant in Geneva on several projects including acute shortage of health workers in low and middle-income countries.
He is the current Deputy Minister of Health 1, Ministry of Health Sierra Leone.
He is founder and President of the UN ECOSOC accredited Afro-European Medical and Research Network (AEMRN) that brings together Diaspora health practitioners with the Diaspora Medical Mission with mobile clinics to serve people in hard to reach villages and towns all over sub-Saharan Africa and also the CEO of Senessie Low-Income Countries Healthcare and Consultancy Services.
He has won several awards such as the 2019 USA International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare top 100 Health Care Leaders, featured together with Past President Obama, Rev others in the book “The Most Influential Contemporary African Diaspora Leaders” and 2021/2022 winner of Switzerland Prestige awards for NGO sector 2020/2021, and 2023 Visionary Leadership Award in the Health Sector by the Health 2.0 Organisations in USA.
