Friederike Windisch is a Senior Health Expert at the Austrian National Public Health Institute (Gesundheit Österreich / GÖG) with over 17 years of work experience in her main research area focussing on medical devices.
She is the project manager of the Austrian Medical Devices Register and of two EU4Health projects on medical devices (Study supporting the monitoring of availability of medical devices on the EU market, Study on the implementation of Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices on the EU market).
Friederike also manages the Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (PPRI) subgroup on medical devices, which is an international network of competent authorities for medical devices to exchange information on pricing and reimbursement policies and to increase transparency in the field.
She holds a master’s degree in health management from the University of Applied Sciences in Krems, Austria, and is currently working on her PhD at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Austria, on pricing and reimbursement of medical devices.
