Heba Wanis is a researcher in public health and development. She is interested in access to medicines as a fundamental component of the right to health, and particularly focuses on pharmaceutical policy, drug regulation, pricing and intellectual property. She authored and contributed to several publications in this area. She currently works with the Third World Network and leads work in Egypt.
She studied pharmaceutical sciences, and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh and a MA in Community Psychology from the American University in Cairo.
