Ms Millicent Alooh, H.S.C., is a biomedical engineer and project manager with 14 years of hospital experience in Kenya. She currently serves as the head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya and Honorable National Secretary General (SG) for the Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya. She has specialized expertise in priority medical devices, global policies, standards and regulation of health products, healthcare technology assessment, and health technology management.

She pursued her studies in Kenya, where she obtained a post-graduate degree in project planning and management from the University of Nairobi, an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Egerton University, and a diploma in biomedical engineering from the Technical University of Mombasa. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Nairobi.

For her outstanding contribution to the oxygen crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was awarded the prestigious Head of State Commendation (H.S.C.) by the former President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, in 2021. She also received several national honors, including the Star of the Year Award, the COVID-19 Heroine Prize, and the Biomedical Champion of the Year 2021 Award.
