Mag. Dr. Sabine Vogler is Head of the Pharmacoeconomics Department of the Austrian National Public Health Institute (Gesundheit Österreich GmbH / GÖG) and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Policies affiliated to GÖG’s Pharmacoeconomics Department. She is also affiliated to the Department of Health Care Management of the Technical University of Berlin (Germany).
Sabine Vogler is a senior health economist and pharmaceutical policy researcher with over 25 years of experience in surveying, comparing and evaluating pharmaceutical policies as well as measuring and analysing access, affordability and availability of medicines. She has in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing / prices, reimbursement, procurement and distribution in European countries. Sabine Vogler coordinated numerous research projects at national and European levels and co-authored more than 200 Austrian, European and international publications, including peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals.
Sabine Vogler was pivotal in establishing the PPRI (Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information) network which comprises competent authorities for pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement from 50 countries and international organisations. She was member in the Expert Panels of the WHO Guidelines on Country Pharmaceutical Pricing Policies and is involved in the WHO/Europe’s Novel Medicines Platform. Currently, she is co-chair of WHO’s Technical Advisory Group on Pricing Policies for Medicines (TAG-PPM).
