Sergiy focuses on supporting intellectual property and access to medicines work implemented by Make Medicines Affordable consortium in 24 countries. Before joining ITPC, he led advocacy to improve access to treatment at 100% Life (the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS). In particular, Sergiy coordinated implementation of IP interventions, civil society anti-corruption monitoring of HIV, HCV, TB medicines, state procurements, demand creation and treatment optimization efforts within the Global Fund and USAID supported projects.  

Sergiy authored or coordinated work on several studies on implementation of TRIPS-flexibilities in EECA region, HIV and TB legal environment assessments and development of strategic plan on measures to reduce human rights barriers in Ukraine. He earned his law degree from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and master’s degree in international human rights law and intellectual property from Lund University, Sweden.
